Description of a street of our times
A man is walking
an informer sees him
You don't know who he is
Nor what he wants.
Further along
Walks a dejected woman
and dejected too
the child that hold her hand.
The girlfriend of an army man
comes by
She smiles at the policeman
and winks her eye
at the informer.
A little old lady passing by
looks at the newspaper
and thinks it the fangs of a viper
but doesn't say so
because the informer
has also stopped
to read the paper.
