IN DEFENCE OF BUSINESS

IN DEFENSE OF BUSINESS

He got his hands covered in blood
his chest covered in medals
and his conscience in injustices
but don't worry
in business we're all friends.
He planted dead children in our nightmares
increase nagging hunger in the stomach of the poor
but don't worry
in business we're all friends.
He filled the cages brimful
of corpses of the innocent
filled the heavens brimful
of the echoes of torture
insulted women
but don't worry
in business we're all friends.
Finally
he washed his hands put on the banner
presided at receptions
and read out speeches
because in business
him and us are friends.
